A DMU railtour run by the Monmouthshire Railway Society covering rare track around South Wales on Saturday 27th October 1984. Highlights were: Newport Docks, Trethomas, Oakdale, Maerdy, Glascoed and Uskmouth.
A classic view at Newport of the transporter bridge as the train returns from Newport South Dock, South Quay.
A reversal at Mendalgief Jn brought the train to the other side of South Dock at West Quay.
Another visit to the Bedwas branch and another reversal at the site of Trethomas station rather than at Bedwas itself.
And another visit to Maerdy, and another reversal at the usual point.
