Class 24s

Regular readers of www.2d53.co.uk will have spotted my interest in following the last workings of the Class 24s in the late 1970s. Obviously very common in Norh Wales, they could also be found working in the West Midlands, the Potteries and the North West. When they were withdrawn, they went for scrap - many at Swindon Works - whilst a few survived in Departmental service.
