Timing Graphs

I've long had a fascination with timetable timing graphs or charts, where the timetable data is displayed as a time-distance graph.

The format is particularly interesting on single lines, where trains have to pass at particular points, and paths for trains are much more constrained. It's amazing how much easier it is to get an overview of the service from the graphs rather than from the timetables, and especially the variations between summer and winter services, and between one year and another.

Where possible, I'm intending to show all daily and seasonal variations overlayed with the click of a link (not quite as easy as I first thought - the Cambrian Coast line graph for 1978 has 18 variations). Graphs are generated from the base data used for the in the Timetables pages.
